Zaverchand Gaekwad Ltd. was established in 1961 with production of galvanized steel flexible conduits; and later on added more manufacturing and marketing units in India and Malaysia. Owing to the labour problems manufacturing at ZG creased in 1991.
The Group manufactures Bellows Expansion Joints since 1975 and for which it is a pioneer well as a leader in India. This product requires high precision designing and manufacturing capabilities. The product is used in steel plants, refineries, petrochemicals, cement, power plants, fertilizers and other diverse industries which are core industries with perennial growth. The company has capacity to produce Bellows in sizes upto 6000 mm dia. with present infrastructure.
The company markets the products under the registered brand name “flexican”. It has an excellent reputation for quality in the market. The company’s workshop has been approved by the leading project Consultants viz. LRIS, EIL,NPC, Bureau Verities, PDIL, TOYO, BHEL, KPG, UDHE, JH&G,DNV
The company has its own designing and marketing set up for Metal Expansion Bellows. It has also established a network of representatives in principal business centres.
The company has developed all special purpose machinery required for Bellows Expansion joints with its own in-house R & D and hence capacity expansion is feasible with very low capital input The company has over the years enriched its technical competence through various collaborators as in 1964 M/s. Compoflex Company U.K. (now known as T.I. Flexible Ltd.) and in 1970 with M/s. Aeroquip Corporation, U.S.A., and with Pathway of USA in eighties, for manufacture of the state-of-art Bellows, Compensators and Metal Hoses for very sophisticated applications. The company has designed and manufactured various high precision import substitution Bellows using nickel alloys in multi-ply corrugations.
